Counting livestock has never been easier. Our RfID Reader uses LoRaWAN to scan RfID ear tags as animals pass by, instantly sending the data to your Base Station.

LCS – The future of herd automation.
Livestock Counting Systems was born out of a personal need from Francois Haasbroek. He wanted to know the numbers of his cattle at any given time. Together with Philip Opperman they brainstormed on how to achieve the goal, as what this system should be capable of doing.
Philip Opperman was key in designing and building the original system as well as all other developments that has taken place since the first prototype was tested.
🐑 ALFA’s New Chapter
This year marks a major milestone as ALFA—South Africa’s largest livestock expo—joins forces with NAMPO. Previously hosted in Parys, ALFA has grown exponentially over the past four years. The NAMPO ALFA Expo now offers even more to producers, combining livestock excellence with the thrill of hunting and outdoor living.
